Bruleed Figs with Burrata

A sexy upgrade to fruit and cheese for dessert. Bruleed figs can adorn tarts, cakes and puddings, but nothing is quite as luxurious as creamy burrata. Crack some pepper to blur the line between sweet and savory.

5 figs, halved

2 tablespoons sugar

1/2 ball burrata,

1 1/2 teaspoons honey

crack of black pepper

mint leaves for garnish

Directions:

Sprinkle sugar on figs to coat flesh side. With a torch, gently torch the sugar until brown. Allow to cool slightly.

Shape half ball of burrata into a nice round, cut side down on plate or bowl. Decorate figs around the ball, drizzle with honey, crack pepper and garnish with mint leaves.
