Dark Circles Be Gone!
Written by Sheila Hui.
As much as we beauty lovers can try, sometimes getting a solid eight hours of sleep on the regular is next to impossible. Dark circles are inevitable but lucky for us, covering them is a breeze! We’ve got the best under-eye circle concealers ready to go. Eight hours or not…with these secret beauty weapons, no one will be the wiser.
This highlighter has a cult following amongst the beauty community and for good reason. We could literally go out drinking and dancing all night, sleep for an hour in our makeup (gasp!), wake-up and smear this stuff under our eyes and look like newborn babies. It’s that good. With an extensive range of colors from fair to deep, Touche Eclat is a must-have product for any girl looking to cover-up their dark circles or merely add a pop of radiance to their faces.
Estee Lauder provides a cheaper option than Touche Eclat that’s just as good. It’s similarly foundation-like consistency provides coverage as well as adding luminosity to skin and it lasts hours and hours. There are less shades available than the from YSL, but for us gals (and guys!) lucky enough to find a matching shade, it’s a win-win highlight situation.
The Elizabeth Arden version of an under-eye concealer also doubles as a cheek and brow highlighter. We love the moisturizing formula and brightness it instantly brings to our faces. Application can take a little bit of getting used to though, so be sure to take time out the first few tries to get it just right!
Although it only comes in one shade, Smashbox’s Photo Op Under Eye Brightener is almost so intensely bright that it works on nearly anyone. With a brush applicator that’s easy to use, this little tube of highlight is definitely the most dazzling. We say, bring it on.
If you like a little sparkle under your eyes, then Benefit’s Watt’s Up! is the under eye highlight for you. This one isn’t concealer-based however, so those looking for coverage should stick with cream-based ones. This sheer and sparkly highlight is perfect to make eyes pop and adds a luminous glow to tired faces. Snap, crackle, pop pop pop!
